Pianist Catherine Knowlton is a graduate of New England Conservatory of Music where she studied piano with Stephen Drury and composition with Joe Maneri. A three-time winner of the Granite State Piano competition in New Hampshire, she also won the New England Conservatory honors piano competition in 1988, was a semi-finalist in the Stravinsky Awards International Piano Competition in 1989, and won the Commonwealth Competition for Young pianists in 1991. Catherine has performed extensively throughout New England, with other appearances in New York, the Midwest, and Western Europe. Ms. Knowlton's program focuses on composers Franz Liszt and Mussorgsky.
